So I strayed a little bit off the path from my Lancome Bi-Facil eye makeup remover to try Just Release Me by Philosophy because it was cheaper. This was $18 I believe at Sephora, although it is listed out of stock right now. This was appealing to me because of the large size and I thought it might be just as good as my Bi-Facil.
Well I was wrong. With my Bi-Facil, I literally only need one swipe across the eyelid, waterproof or non-waterproof. With the Just Release Me, it requires a little more work to get the makeup off my lid. My final verdict is that yes, Bi-Facil is expensive– it’s $28. But Just Release Me is also expensive at $18, it just happens to be cheaper than the Bi-Facil. I am a firm believer in, you get what you pay for, and I am happy to pay the extra $10 for the Bi-Facil instead of experimenting and wasting the money even though it was cheaper. Had I never come across Bi-Facil, perhaps I would have thought this was a great eye makeup remover. I suppose it is just a matter of preference– I happen to prefer the Bi-Facil.
