Today I want to talk about some new summer beauty stuff I’m seeing on the Sephora website. I haven’t been so inspired lately to do much beauty shopping, but finally, there are a few things I have my eye on.
Ceremonia Candle de Guava
I usually try to avoid bright-looking candles that I feel would be a bit of a distraction in my tiny DC apartment, but the description of the Ceremonia Candle de Guava candle has won me over. It’s got guava, peach, lemon zest, jasmine, violet, and more. Now, I have been slightly burned by the allure of a fruity-smelling candle I thought sounded good before – pun intended! But I’m willing to take a chance on this one.
Olaplex No. 4C Bond Maintenance™ Clarifying Shampoo
I haven’t had the best luck with Olaplex products, but the Olaplex No. 4C Bond Maintenance Clarifying Shampoo caught my eye quickly for three reasons:
- I saw 4C and immediately thought, oh wow something specifically from Olaplex for my hair texture. But I kept reading and saw that’s not what that was. It’s a clarifying shampoo meant to battle build up. and it’s also blue!
- I recently stayed in a hotel in New Jersey and there was tea tree shampoo in the shower I used. I normally do not wash my hair with random things, especially on vacation, but I was desperate. Days later, I found loads of buildup on my scalp. I think this would be good for that. For the past couple of years, I’ve had problems with that, so I’m hoping this will give me some relief.
- It’s got good reviews from all kinds of people. From the reviews I read, most people are saying this shampoo does exactly what it says. Isn’t it funny how shampoo should do that anyway, but instead, sometimes it can cause buildup??
On my list and in my cart.
Farmacy Peaches ‘N Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm
I’ve tried the OG Green Clean, Cherry and Lemon, and I am definitely going to snatch up the Farmacy Peaches ‘N Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm! This cleansing balm has been bringing me joy since it first came out and I have no doubt I will feel the same way about the peach one.
Natasha Denona Mini Bronze Eyeshadow Palette
I know I have enough eye shadow palettes, but this Natasha Denona Mini Bronze Palette has all of the eyeshadows I like to wear daily and it would be great for travel. I am a true sucker for warm-toned bronzy eyeshadows and this is a definite yes for me. There aren’t very many reviews on it, but I am hoping it performs well!
Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Vitamin C Lactic 15% Firm & Bright Serum
I think my Vitamin C boycott is over. For years, I have been turning my nose up at Vitamin C because the skincare space was just so oversaturated with it. I came across the Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Vitamin C Lactic 15% Firm & Bright Serum and I got pretty excited. My skin just responds to lactic acid and I am curious to see what this combination will do for my skin. Here are some lactic acid skincare posts for you to enjoy 🙂 This goes in the basket!
