Shortly after I picked up the Makeup Revolution Concealer, the brand released a foundation stick, the Fast Base Stick Foundation. Foundation sticks are something I happen to love as they are less messy, more precise, and usually nicely full-coverage compared to other foundations. I was able to find somewhat of a shade match in Ulta, F14. Have a look at the photo tutorial before I get into the review.
I applied the foundation is spots where I prefer full coverage: my cheeks and chin. |
Blended out with a dense foundation brush |
Set with Laura Mercier Translucent Powder in Medium Deep |
Added Ben Nye’s Banana Powder under eyes, Becca’s Mineral Blush in Nightingale and Royal Glow Highlighter on cheeks. |
My skin type
Oily and imperfect. I have fading dark acne scars and tiny icepick scars on my cheeks (check out this post for recent pics of how my skin looks now).
What it’s supposed to do
Foundation just got faster! Launching in 18 shades and a range of undertones, Fast Base Foundation quickly perfects, contours and highlights your complexion.
Ingredients
Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Synthetic Wax, Cera Microcristallina, Tridecyl Trimellitate, Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2, Nylon-12, Polyethylene, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Propylparaben, BHT (+/-) CI 77891, CI 77491, CI 77499, CI 77492
How I use it
I apply spots of the foundation directly from the tube to my face and blend with a dense foundation brush.
What I like about it
It’s legit full-coverage and I like the price at $9.00. It lasts all day and must be set with powder for my oily skin.
What could be better
Event though I got this shade to work for me, I am not at all impressed with the range of shades for dark skin tones. As you can see in the face swatch, the shade has a grayish undertone to it. I also wish the packaging came in a darker color. While the nude tube is cute, when it’s covered in makeup, it is not. I think black would have meshed nicely with the rose gold.
