I have been wanting to show you all this highlighter and this lippie stix for some time now, but I have been quite distracted! Nevertheless, the Makeup Academy (MUA) Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter in Opalescent Amber was part of the goodies I picked up in London, and I got Contempo from CoulourPop some time ago.

MUA Undressed Highlighting Powder in Opalescent Amber. MUA Highlighting Powder instantly radiates and lifts any complexion. This shade offers a warming gleam with a blend of gold, amber and pink.
I use a powder brush to apply this highlighter but a fan brush would work better. I find that the shimmer particles are large and it tends to make my pores stand out more. Otherwise, it is a very pretty highlighter. I often apply it down the bridge of my nose as well. It lasts on me throughout the work day, but I feel like by the time I get home, most of it has faded away.
I picked this up at Superdrug, but MUA has a website where they do international shipping. It’s quite cheap at 3 pounds so if you order, make it a big one so the shipping cost (8 pounds) is worth it.
Colourpop Contempo is described as a “mid-tone dusty rose with a matte finish.” I honestly thought it would be a bit darker than it actually is on my skin tone, but it’s not bad at all. It’s a very true dusty pink on me. I actually kind of wish this had a satin finish rather than a matte finish — I feel like it wouldn’t have made me feel as if it washed me out a bit. I still like it and use it pretty consistently as a go-to true pink. It lasts on me about 4-5 hours and should be reapplied after eating.
