Let’s talk about YSL’s Black Opium Eau de Parfum. I received a little travel sample of this a while back after purchasing something from somewhere and put it in my sample perfume bag, forgotten about until it was time for me to go on vacation. Fast forward to this Valentine’s Day, I decided to wear it to dinner. The minute I left the hotel room, I received a very nice compliment on the way I smelled. I’m pretty loyal to Maison Margiela Jazz Club, but I just had to have this one.
I’d already been surprised once I put it on how good it smelled. The brand describes this perfume as a warm, spicy, fragrance with coffee, white flowers, and vanilla. I’d say that’s pretty accurate and I felt like a complete goddess when I wore it. The packaging is super edgy and sexy, and this bottle is perched on display on my shelf. While I wear this both day and night because I love it, some might find that this is definitely a date-worthy or evening fragrance. The sexy notes in it are pretty aggressive. I imagine you can get anything you friggin want with this fragrance on!
Do yourself a favor and pick this one up.
