Charlotte Tilbury x Norman Parkinson Matte Revolution Lipstick – 1975 Red & Eyes to Mesmerise – Mona Lisa | Photos | Swatches | First Impressions

Eyes To Mesmerise Cream Eye Shadow in Mona Lisa is described as a clever cream-to-sheen formula in a wisteria-chocolate bronze. It was designed to recreate the soft-focused smokey stare of da Vinci’s leading lady; hence the name Mona Lisa.

Why you’ll love it:
• The revolutionary water-infused formula has a cooling effect on hard-working eyes
• Easy glide-on formula won’t drag the delicate eye area
• Added vitamin E hydrates and provides antioxidant protection from free radicals
• Soft-focus illuminating pigments smooth over lines and imperfections for a visibly more youthful finish
• Contained within a super-luxe glass jar

Matte Revolution lipstick is designed to create the illusion of fuller, wider lips that look lit from within. 1975 Red is a new, limited edition shade of the Matte Revolution lipstick, specially created for the Charlotte Tilbury x Norman Parkinson collection.

The classic ‘70s sunset red captures the fun, naughty and glamorous mood of the decade. It is inspired by Jerry Hall’s Jamaica Blue & Beautiful, British Vogue cover from May 1975, shot by Norman Parkinson. The tone of this Lichtenstein Pop Art shade is made relevant for today with a modern, fresh and chic matte texture. It is perfect with bronzed skin and a summer glow.

First thoughts:

  • Absolutely gorgeous cream shadow. A little goes a long way; I can’t imagine running out of this.
  • I am absolutely petrified of dropping the glass container; I’ve done it before! >_<
  • I am surprised to see so much orange in the lipstick and curious to see how it appears on my lips in concert with the shadow.
  • The square tip of the lipstick is interesting; I wonder if it truly makes a difference in application.

Stay tuned!
