A red lip does so much for my confidence. I think I feel sexiest when I am wearing red lipstick. I picked up Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick in Grand Cru when I was in London. I had heard of the brand’s line of liquid lipstick, and at the time it was considered one of the best drugstore liquid lipsticks, but I couldn’t get my hands on it in the US.

The texture of the lipstick is velvety and you don’t need much for a full coverage lip (although it goes on semi-opaque). The brand claims it lasts for 24 hours and is non-drying. I can’t say it’s got 24 hr hold because I have never worn it for 24 hours. I have worn it at least 12 hours, to include eating and drinking, without having to reapply.
Although the brand claims it’s non-drying, I do find it to be one of the more drying liquid lipsticks I have tried. So be sure to exfoliate and wear lip balm with this one. On a positive note, I often forget I am wearing lipstick when I have this one, and remember when my lips start to peel (moisture loss). That can likely be decreased by exfoliating, which I’m really bad at remembering or wanting to do.
I purchased this in-store at Superdrug, and found it Boots International online for 8.99 quid, which is what I paid for it when I was there, but they don’t appear to deliver to the US.
