I’ve been more and more curious about Lipstick Queen and I recently had the opportunity to try out some of their best sellers! The brand is focused mostly on lipstick and is known as the “ultimate destination for lipstick.” Here’s what I received:
Frog Prince Lipstick and Blush
Wine Metal Lipstick
Invisible Lip Liner
Nothing But the Truth Lipstick
I’ll talk briefly about the lipstick Nothing But The Truth because I have previously reviewed the whole collection, which consists of three nude lipsticks. This shade is similar to The Whole Truth, but a bit darker, making it preferable for women of color.
The Lipstick Queen Invisible Lip Liner is a novel product; as someone that buys a lot of makeup I don’t think I have ever used an invisible lip liner. I will say that I really like the idea of it. I use the invisible liner to shape and clean up lipsticks that have a tendency to feather or when I have accidentally overdrawn my lips; it’s very effective for the latter. I find myself using it mostly with lipsticks that are more glossy, like Dior Addict Lacquer Sticks, that are harder to clean up just using your finger. For that reason, it’s earned a permanent place in the makeup bag I keep in my purse.
From the brand: Invisible Lip Liner works wonders with any lip color. The perfect way to stop lipstick from feathering, color stays put and you can create a defined lip line. It’s the liner that goes with every single lip color and skin tone.

The Frog Prince Collection was a really pleasant surprise. I have always been curious about pH-based cosmetics, but wasn’t convinced it would work on me. Well guess what? It does and I reach for the Frog Prince lipstick almost as much as my Dior Addict Lipstick. It’s moisturizing and develops a tint; the perfect no-makeup makeup… makeup! Here’s how it works:
From the brand:
The Lipstick: Don’t be fooled by the deep green hue of this semi-sheer lipstick – the green reacts with the warmth of your lips turning them an intense, fairy tale rose. No two pairs of lips will look the same as it adapts according to your pH and natural coloring, appearing entirely different yet beautifully flattering on everyone. Vitamin E and Shea Butter keep lips soft, hydrated and deliciously kissable. And just like true love itself, this enchanting shade was made to last. Lips remain their blissful pink all day long from just one lingering, magical Frog Prince kiss.
The Blush: With its petal-soft texture and translucent finish, this silky, gel cream formula brings a natural, rosy flush to the cheeks despite its astonishing lily pad green appearance. The unique color is subtle yet highly buildable, with a soft sheen for a flattering, cheek sculpting effect.

And here’s how Lipstick Queen Frog Prince Lipstick and Blush look on my fingers |
Both the lipstick and blush are very similar in color and finish. I wasn’t so sure about the blush at first because of the dewy finish, but it works without making me feel like I look super oily! I didn’t have any issue applying it over my foundation, which I need because I have acne scars that need covering. I use a stippling brush to apply the blush to my cheeks. For the lipstick, I do about three or four rounds on my lips and wait five minutes for the color to reach its full potential. As a note, you do need to wait a few minutes for the color to settle on your skin with both products. I do smell a faint earthy scent on the lipstick, but it does not translate on to the lips. Have a look at how they both look on me:

As much as I loved Frog Prince, Wine Metal was love at first swipe! This shade is from The Lipstick Queen Metals Collection:
From the brand: These lipsticks have an intense satin metallic finish which is achieved with the use of ultra-fine metallic pearls in high concentration with rich pigments. These are balanced with high levels of anti-oxidant Vitamin E and incredibly nourishing Apricot Kernel Oil allowing a smooth, drag-free application, ultra-comfortable wear and leaves lips moisturised and cloaked with luxuriously rich and intense coverage.
I don’t usually go for metallic lip products because I’ve realized they just don’t look good on my lips, against my skin. But this lipstick formula is so sophisticated, barely has that metallic sheen I try to stay away from, is creamy and comfortable on my lips, and best of all looks great on me!

I am very happy with these Lipstick Queen picks and am getting so much use out of the them. I encourage you to check the brand out!
