Make Up For Ever Aqua Liner Mat Black (13)

I have a love-hate relationship with this Make Up For Ever Aqua Liner. I purchased this one a while back in Mat Black ($23.00). I thought I would totally fall in love with the felt-like tip of the eyeliner pen. Overall, I don’t find myself loving this product until it has dried on my lid.

Also wearing: Makeup Forever Mat Velvet+ Foundation, Eve Pearl Concealer in Salmon,
Ben Nye Banana Powder, NARS Blush in Almeria,
Mally Beauty Face Defender

PROS:

  • Once it dries, it’s waterproof. In fact, the most waterproof liquid eyeliner I have ever tried. Doesn’t come off with sweat, and when I use Lancome’s BiFacil, I still kind of have to scrub it off, so once it’s on there, it’s on there!
  • It’s the blackest black, if black could even be black, but you need to apply two coats.

CONS

  • I thought I would like the foam felt tip of this eyeliner, but I really don’t! I think it’s the thing I dislike the most about it. It’s not flexible and it’s what causes shaky, uneven, imprecise application. It’s also the reason you need two coats, to correct and make your line straight. The first coat sort of goes on a bit streaky, but after the second coat, it shows its true, very impressive form.

Lower Lash Line: Makeup Forever Aqua Eyes in Matte Black,
Brows: Revlon Professional Brow Pencil in Black Brown
Mascara: Lancom Hypnose Drama, Revlon Moisture Renew Lipstick in Dusty Rose

Final word– please for the love of all that’s right in the world, do not put this on your lower lash line. I usually don’t use liquid liner on my lower lash line, but I know some people that do, and can pull it off. This stuff comes off in flakes when it’s being removed or if you just have oily lids and that’s just what happens. This liner lasts me the entire workday and some. When I have had it on all day and it’s time to remove it, I can only see that the liner has left corners of my inner eyelids and that’s about it. I tried putting this on my lower lid and not only was it irritated, but it came off so crusty. So leave this to your top lid only.

They make these in about 15 other colors and I am curious about them, more specifically the very bright pinks and purples. Id love to hear feedback on these liners in those colors and how they were worn.
