Hey ya’ll!
This post is dedicated to the makeup products that I reached for in the most 2016, and by default that makes them my favorites! All of these have basically become staples for me. The only caveat is that a couple of the products were limited edition or were “discontinued.” The categories are:
Lipstick
Foundation
Eyeshadow
Blush
Eyeliner
Concealer

Lipstick
This year I found myself reaching for ColourPop Chilly Chili more often than any other lip product in my stash. Unfortunately, this is one of the colors that ColourPop has discontinued, but keep your eyes open because ColourPop often brings back discontinued products. Coincidentally, before there was Chilly Chili, there was Tulle and Tulle was my Main B before Chilly Chili came along. Both of these colors have a lot in common; they are both from the same brand, they are both Ultra Mattes, and they are very similar in color. I suppose I really like those neutral pinks!

Foundation
As far as foundation goes, I definitely found Lancome Teint Idole Foundation Stick in my hand a lot during the summer and fall, and I used it a lot more than my Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet+, partially because I was bored and looking for another foundation. Since the beginning of fall, I had been using Armani’s Maestro Fusion for the most part, up until I discovered Kevyn Aucoin’s Sensual Skin Enhancer (review coming soon), which is getting a lot of use out of me.

Eyeshadow
I have been using a lot of shadows from ColourPop. Toward the latter part of 2016, I really went neutral. One of the colors I reached for the most was ColourPop Quatre from the Jenn Nois Sais Quad. That quad got a lot of use out of me. I would often wear Quatre on it’s own, just for some color on the lids. Unfortunately, it’s been discontinued.
Although the Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette by Mario was released in October, I used that palette more than any other palette the entire year! I just had to include that in this list as that is the best palette (as far as quality) I have ever used. I really love the formula and hope the brand brings back this limited edition palette.

Blush
There was no real competition for the most reached for blush for me this year. Every time I turned around I was picking up ColourPop Swift. It’s a matte brown blush and I fell in love with it quickly.

Eyeliner
There are actually two liners that I used more often than any others and they sort of coincide with the time of year. The beginning of the year, I was constantly using ColourPop Gel Creme Colour in Swerve. I mean, I felt like every Instagram post included ColourPop Swerve! It’s a great gel liner, and definitely reminds me of Inglot’s famous AMC gel liner. The eyeliner that I used most often in the later half of the year was a surprise to me because I was not initially a fan of it. MyIpkn Gel Stealer Pen Liner has truly made up for its first impressions and I find myself picking up this liner more than any other liner this year. It’s dark, it’s super easy to use, and I haven’t had any problems with it since I first got it. It also lasts for a very long time!

Concealer
I have tried other concealers this year that are great but nothing has really compared to Becca’s Ultimate Concealing Creme. I have a few that I need to review, but as far as meeting my concealing needs, Becca takes the cake. A contender would be LA Girl concealer in Toffee (review coming soon)!
