Hey everyone! Hope you are all holding up well in this self-quarantine thing. I haven’t been using much as far as beauty products these days, but I wanted to share what I have been reaching for sequestered at home.
Lancer The Method Polish
I have been a long-time user of the Lancer The Method Polish exfoliator. You only need a drop and it makes my face feel so incredibly smooth after using it. I only use this about once a week and it’s definitely the pick-me-up my skin thanks me for after a long week of being trapped indoors lol. Lancer is such an underrated brand, perhaps because their products are on the pricey side, but man, do they work!
Good Molecules Silicone-Free Priming Moisturizer
The Good Molecules Silicone-Free Priming Moisturizer has been my go-to moisturizer, even before the pandemic. It’s light and it’s quick and the quick part is what makes me grab for it more than any other moisturizer right now. I’m not gonna lie, I have not been taking care of my skin as much as I should be during this whole thing, even though I have definitely had the time to. Some days, I jump in the shower and the only thing I do is cleanse and moisturize because that’s all I can muster. This is the moisturizer I have been reaching for, for that. Video haul here.
Tatcha Kissu Lip Mask
I packed the Tatcha Kissu Lip Mask away when I moved a couple months ago and wasn’t able to find what I did with it until recently, and man was I happy! If there is one thing that suffers probably more than my skin are my lips. While I am also not doing elaborate skin care routines, I am also drinking a good bit of wine and other alcoholic libations that lead to dehydration. I use this lip mask during the day, sitting at my computer working. So easy! I put it on and leave it there for about an hour, mostly because I forget about it, and then wipe it off with a terrycloth towel to exfoliate off all the dead skin. This part is soooo important because while it does make my lips feel nice and smooth, if I don’t scrub it off, I am still left with soft lips but a layer of dead skin. My lips feel soooo smooth afterward.
The Rituals of Ayurveda Body Cream
I originally discovered the Rituals of Ayurveda Body Cream in Paris but it was taken away from me at the airport… huff! While I learned my lesson about that, the cream was still on my mind and I was ecstatic to find that it was available right at Ulta! They keep reformulating my drug store body lotion so at the time I was looking for a replacement and decided this would be it for now. It makes my skin feel so soft and smooth and I love the scent. As someone that isn’t a lover of the crazy popular Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum scent, I did love how soft it makes the skin feel. I feel like this is a happy medium and way cheaper so happy all around. Also, ahem, I always get compliments on how smooth my skin feels when I use this.
Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Concealer
On the days that I put on makeup, I have been reaching for the Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Concealer about 99% of the time to highlight and conceal my under-eye area. These days, packing on foundation and concealer make me feel like I am wearing heavy makeup and all I want to do is wash my face. That was keeping me from wanting to do my makeup at all. I found that this concealer makes me feel a whole lot better about applying my makeup because it’s lightweight and full-coverage. I have reviewed this concealer here. I have been using the shade 6N for this purpose.
What have you been reaching for these days?
