Y’all heard about the new Kush Mascara from Milk Makeup? Well, I’ve been trying it out and here are five things you should know about it:
It’s going to give your lashes a major boost in volume
I compared the Kush Mascara to Dior’s Pump N’ Volume and the first thing I noticed was that the Kush provides MOAR volume, probably due to the fibers in it (it’s super black, too). Both my top and bottom lashes were blacker and fuller. Two coats and I am good to go!
It’s going to lengthen your lashes, especially the bottom lashes
The mascara definitely lengthens. I have the most puny, dare I say nonexistent bottom lashes I have ever seen but with this mascara, they are visible! And not just that smudge of black trick on my lower lash line, this mascara emphasizes my lower lashes! Those fibers must be latching on to my bottom lashes for dear life. I’m so happy I can now have bottom lashes!
To put things in perspective, I started testing this mascara the day after I removed my eyelash extensions so they were super puny. In case you don’t know, eyelash extensions make your regular lashes fall out no matter how careful you are removing them (at least for me, that’s the case). So for me, this lengthening of my lashes is quite telling. I can’t wait until they grow back out (usually takes about two weeks for me) so I can wear this mascara in all its glory.
It doesn’t get you high
It’s got cannabis oil in it, but it doesn’t get you high; take that how you want to! Here’s a list of the full ingredients:
Water/Aqua/Eau, Paraffin, Glyceryl Stearate, Synthetic Beeswax, Stearic Acid, Acacia Senegal Gum, Butylene Glycol, Palmitic Acid, Polybutene, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Wax, VP/Eicosene Copolymer, Ozokerite, Aminomethyl Propanol, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Stearyl Stearate, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Nylon-6, Papaver Somniferum Seed Oil, Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil, Glycerin, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Dipteryx Odorata Seed Extract, Theobroma Grandiflorum Seed Butter, Cera carnauba/copernica cerifera (carnuaba) wax/cire de carnauba, Silica, Tropolone, Aframomum Melegueta Seed Extract, Helichrysum Italicum Extract, Iron Oxide/CI 77499

Don’t pump it too much
When I first opened the tube, the brush didn’t look coated in mascara to me so I relentlessly pumped the tube up and down. Don’t do that! That resulted in loads of mascara accumulating at the bottom of the brush so that when I stick it back in the tube a big glob comes out on the brush. Just trust that it’s got mascara on it! Now I have to be super careful getting the wand in and out of the tube so I don’t make a mess with the excess that’s accumulated at the top.
The fibers are SUPERIOR to other fiber mascaras
Listen, I have never liked fiber mascaras because the fibers always drop in my eyes. Always! I’ve always been bewildered as to why anyone used them. Surely, that could not be just me? I did not have that problem with this mascara! The brand says the mascara has got unique heart-shaped fibers that latch on to your lashes. These fibers hug my lashes like they were meant to be there. I am happy happy happy!
