February Favorites (2018)

Hello and happy March! Isn’t it weird how January went by soooo slow and February just flew by? Well, let’s see what happens with March. In the meantime, here are some of the products I found myself continuously reaching for the most last month.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette

I’ve not given the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette a break since I picked it up in December. I got it for my Christmas gift to myself and was so surprised at how wonderful the formula was; now I also have the Subculture Palette, the Master Palette by Mario, and the Artist Palette, and they are all different in formula. The Modern Renaissance Formula and the Makeup by Mario Formula are amazing. If you’ve been procrastinating on Modern Renaissance or are thinking about dupes, fuhgettaboutit and just get the Modern Renaissance. Some complain about the powderiness of it and the fall out but for me that does not effect application. I don’t experience fallout when applying to my eyes. I’ve not reviewed this because I feel like it’s gotten plenty of coverage in the bloggersphere so consider this my rave of this palette.

Lorac Light Source Illuminating Primer

I haven’t reviewed the Lorac Light Source Illuminating Primer yet because I’m still editing the post but I received this as part of a holiday kit and totally love it! I’m not  huge fan of primer because it’s an extra step but this primer blows my socks off. This is the shade Dawn. More on it coming soon!

Lanoliné Rosehip Oil Cleanser

I posted a while back on this cleanser I found at TJ Maxx. It’s from a brand based out of New Zealand called Lanoline and unfortunately it’s incredibly hard to find. I have been using it almost every day since I got it and sometimes have to force myself to use a different cleanser so I don’t get too attached to it. Chances are, once it runs out, I’m not going to be able to replace it. It comes in a huge glass bottle and it’s still quite full; it’s a great cleanser and I wish it were widely available. I use it after cleansing oil or balm and it rinses off clean and brings my joy to use it.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Chocolate

I have had this particular Dip Brow for years. I remember when I first bought it and preferred the Make Up For Ever Aqua Brow to it. Part of the problem was that it wasn’t the right shade. But with the hair color I have now, it is perfect! I find myself using it most of the week and have a newfound love for it.

Sephora Rose Moisturizer

The Sephora Rose Moisturizer made the list because I used it a whole lot. It generally takes me many months to finish up a moisturizer because I’m in constant rotation, but this one may be finished by the end of March at the rate I’m going. You can read about the moisturizer in the review here.

Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara

Taking a liking to the Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara was a total surprise. I received a sample size of the mascara and decided to use it one day and couldn’t believe how much I liked it. It’s supposed to be a volumizing mascara and I do feel like it gives my puny little lashes more umph! I find it to be one of the easiest mascaras to use on my even punier bottom lashes as well. I like the mascara so much, I am going to purchase the full-size.

Clinique Chubby Stick

If you read my review about the Dewy You Set from Clinique, you’re probably not surprised to see that the chubby stick made the list. It’s a great no makeup makeup lip tint, is moisturizing, and easy to use. I’m wearing it in the photo above. Read the review here.
