Do you know how long I have been lusting after the Make Up For Ever Artist Nudes Palette? Years, I tell you, years! When it went on sale at Sephora, I knew I had to pick it up. It’s sold out and the only reason I’m still gonna review it is because the individual powders themselves can still be purchased if you find yourself in love with a few colors. Also on that note, there are four volumes of the Artist Palettes in this line and the other three are still currently available and still on sale!
Shades included: I-528, I-514, ME-512, S-556, D-562, ME-664, S-102, I-544, D-652
Other makeup of note: Fiona Stiles Luminous Foundation Concentrate, Make Up Forever Blush Eggplant, Mac Taraji Glow Blush, Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops, Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Bronzer Rock on World, Tarte Creamy Matte Lip Paint in Chill
My skin type
My lids are oily. These shadows last a considerably long time before creasing without primer and even longer with it.
How I use it
The shadows are some of the best in formula; it’s effortless to apply with traditional eyeshadow brush.
What I like about it
The formula is amazing; so buttery and high-quality, and no fall-out. I like the color combinations for the most part, in that all tones of people should have no problem with this palette. Even though the packaging is cardboard, I find it sleek and easy to carry around. I love the massive mirror included in the palette. I actually use the mirror to apply makeup from other brands as well. I find myself using D-652 and D-562 a lot. Basically the last two rows! I find the first row a bit too shimmery for an all over lid color for my skin tone, so I usually save those for highlighting certain parts of the eye.
What could be better
I do wish some of the shades were warmer. I found that some of the shades when blended together resembled each other. I could have done with a couple more browns in the palette.
Joy Factor
Where to indulge
Sephora (the nudes appear to be sold out but there are other Artist palettes available!)
