The Smashbox Always On Matte Lip ($24.00) has been out for some time now. I went into Sephora for something totally not this and walked out with this nude lip in Stepping Out and two other nude lippies, Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Molasses and Bite Beauty Glace.

That was a surprise because when I swatched this on my arm, I thought for sure it wouldn’t be right for my skin tone. You can imagine my delight and surprise when it dried down and I thought, wow, this actually looks great… and feels great! I walked around Sephora for at least half an hour inspecting myself in the store’s suspect lighting before I decided to just go with it!

Overall, this was a good buy. It’s not often that I go shopping for a nude lip and it actually looks nude and good on me. I’m really digging the formula as I don’t find it very drying and rarely need to reapply. There are quite a few colors in the collection and I’m looking forward to trying out more.
