ColourPop Ultra Metallic Lip | Zebra & 3-Way

The ColourPop Ultra Metallic Lipsticks ($6.00) were a completely impulsive buy for me. I happened to be scrolling through instagram and saw this huge PSA from their account and everyone else’s about these and got overwhelmingly excited. When I received and tried these I was surprisingly underwhelmed. A lot of people will and do love these but I am just not excited by them; totally personal preference. A lot of it has to do with the fact that the two colors I was able to purchase (they subsequently sold out after all the hype) look so much alike to me. Zebra has more of a brown undertone while 3-Way is more pink. I suppose I was just expecting something more metallicky? However, I can easily wear these to work so I am kind of happy they weren’t more outrageous looking and I suppose I should be more happy about that.

ColourPop has since come out with more colors that caught my eye, but I am more wary of purchasing through Instagram hype. I have been caught in that so many times and I grow tired of it.

These are definitely different from anything I have in my lip collection. I use lip balm beforehand and don’t have any problems with dry lips when I use them. Of course, the price is always right with ColourPop so they are, in the end, a good buy.
