The Kat Von D. Metal Crush Eyeshadows ($21.00) are brand new, highly pigmented, metallic eyeshadows. I was so distracted by the launch of her newest shades of liquid lipstick, I had no idea eyeshadows were accompanying them. I went into Sephora to see what I could see, and was very surprised when I saw these. A single rub of this shadow with my fore finger resulted in extremely pigmented shadow… and raised eyebrows! Ultimately, curiosity got the best of me and I snatched this up in Raw Power, an “iridescent intense garnet.”

I also swatched the eyeshadow in Synergy and had it in my hand before I changed my mind and went with Raw Power for it’s uniqueness.

Application:
So I tried applying this with an eyeshadow brush and I just could not get enough product on the brush. Surprisingly, I found I got the most intense payoff when I used my finger. I think the brush would have to be wet in order to get some color onto your lids; otherwise, use your finger to apply this and blend it out with a brush.

Longevity:
As pretty as the color is, it faded throughout the day on me. I recommend using a primer with this eyeshadow to get it to last all day. I did not use a primer on my oily lids which is probably the reason why it didn’t last. I suspect it may last longer wet also. I got a good 5 hours of wear before I started noticing creasing.
I really like the color and anticipate it getting a lot of use out of me, especially in the fall. I hope more unique colors come to this collection.

i love red eyeshadows. Recently I picked up Let's Roll by Mac…I might have to see how this compares with Raw Rower.
It really does look stunning on you.
