If You Have Oily Skin, You NEED This Sunscreen: Biore UV Perfect Face Milk SPF 50+ PA++++ Review

Don’t you just love when things work surprisingly well? Like better than you thought? While this is rare, it’s happened to me with this sunscreen. The only other time I can remember this happening to me is with my Mizon Multi Function Snail Repair Eye Cream

As a sunscreen noob, I did a good amount of research before I settled on Biore UV Perfect Face Milk SPF 50+ PA++++ (30 ml). I purchased this solely from reviews of people experienced with sunscreen… as you will see below, the ingredients are in Japanese so I really have no idea what makes it work so well for me. There are a few websites I came across with ingredient listings, but nothing I could make any sense out of anyway.

So I know what 30 ml looks like because I’ve used graduated cylinders before (I have no shame in my dorkiness)… but I’m not gonna lie… I was shocked when this came in the mail and it was this tiny! Besides that initial shock, everything else about the product, I am loving

So to start off, it’s very milky looking and comes out of the bottle fast. Once you open it, you’ll see that there is a tiny little nozzle that the product comes out of (sorry, forgot to get a photo of that part) and you just gently squeeze it to get the product out of the bottle. I carefully squeeze a dime-sized amount into the palm of my hand, rub my hands together, and apply all over my face and neck. As you can see from the photos below, there is a slight white cast, but on my dark skin, it only lasts about two minutes then goes away!

Obviously, this is the last step before I apply my makeup. Since it’s gotten sweltering hot, for some reason I haven’t been using either of my primers (silly goose). Additionally, I am in the habit of mid-day blotting or using my Mally Beauty Evercolor Poreless Face Defender (can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this!) to get rid of excess oil my face produces. I went to apply a few swipes of Mally and I realized my face wasn’t oily! I was pleasantly surprised; so surprised I was compelled to get up from my desk and go to the restroom to make sure it wasn’t a mirage. It wasn’t!

One other thing I noticed was that I did get two tiny little mysterious bumps on my face after using the sunscreen for a few days. The only other new-ish thing I was using was vitamin C serum (review to come), but had been using it a couple weeks before with no problems so I am pretty sure it was the sunscreen. I’m chopping it up to my face getting used to the sunscreen because the bumps went away and have not made a return!

I love this sunscreen. I actually love that this suncreen keeps me smewhat matte throughout the day, annnnnddddd protects me from UV rays. I also like the high SPF. While I’m loving this glow I’ve got going on, foundation doesn’t grow on trees (was using Armani’s Maestro Fusion Foundation but it’s now too light) and it’s a pain in my arse to have to go buy a new one because I’ve gotten too dark for it. I’ve been using Make Up For Ever HD Foundation in 178 and its not perfect either. At this time, I’d be using Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet+ Foundation in 85 but I ran out (phooey!) and purchased the Armani Maestro as a replacement… but I bought it in the winter. I’ve also worn this by itself without makeup and for some reason I feel like it works better as a mattifier when wearing foundation but that could be in my head. In a nutshell, it’s a KEEPER. I must reiterate that I haven’t been wearing my Hourglass Mineral Veil or my Becca Ever Matte Poreless Primer Perfector and this really helps control oil. I am forever a fan of this sunscreen!
